masterful, those colors are 100 percent perfect and in tune....sorry to hear 'bout that cheapo easel....i made mine out of tomato stakes(oak) with a heavy wire joining the 3 posts at the top......its wicked sturdy and has survived ct. snow, wind, etc.....I paint 3 by 4 ft. with a canvas stapled to a large 3x4 piece of plywood. Heavy enough to stay put, and in a big wind, you can clamp the plywood to the stakes. Also , i have 3 inch nails comin out of the bottom of stakes, I can jam into the dirt, or sand if I'm at the beach. Think it cost about 15 bucks to make. Your too good to be at the mercy of old wood and pansy-ass brass brackets.

Love this series the best( the river ones).....I like how you have thoughtfully and confidentally applied areas of color...esp. the passage on the far river bank. A lesser artist would have used way to many lil' flecks of extraneous color, but those fall trees are perfectly summed up in just a few hues. I'am learning alot from these....hope to see more plein aire ones like these....oreo, new england artist

Your plein air work is always beautiful. :) I think you completely caputured the late fall feeling and I love the abstract quality - long brush strokes of the reflection in the water.
